Beyonce Stunned After Asking UK Audience To Sing Love On Top

Beyonce’s request for a UK crowd to sing Love On Top left the star completely stunned on stage.

On May 17, Beyonce began the first UK leg of her Renaissance World Tour. Since then, she has been left completely speechless by the thousands of fans who came to see her perform at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in Wales.

In a video shared online of the night, Queen B was completely taken aback by the enthusiastic crowd, which belted out her 2011 hit song in total harmony.

When Beyonce held out her microphone to the Welsh stadium audience and they responded in perfect harmony with the words to the hit single Love on Top, it was a spectacular moment.

And luckily for us, it was all filmed on one of the stadium’s large screens.

Fans have since shared their experience of the incredible night online, Nicola Stacey Jones from Wales told PA news agency that the star’s voice was “like velvet.”

Adding: “The atmosphere is electrifying, the music is vibrating around the stadium so your heart bounces. Beyonce is pitch perfect with moves to match,” she said.

“It’s one of those tick box… mind-blowing, memorable moments – I was there sort of thing.”

Fan Sian Blackham added: “I’m a huge Beyoncé fan and have loved her since her career took off with Destiny’s Child.

“I’m with my best friend, goddaughter and her auntie. This is our fourth time seeing Beyoncé together, the first since the pandemic.

“We feel so lucky to be at her first show in the UK and I’m super grateful to my best friend and goddaughter who secured the tickets – no easy feat.”

Another fan, Lucas Vassilis, told PA: “The crowd sang their hearts out in the rain and Beyoncé reciprocated that energy through and through! A true class act.”

Kate Arkwright added: “Like the album itself, Renaissance world tour was an incredible celebration of queer Black culture, acknowledging the roots of house music whilst getting everyone out of their seats and dancing along.

“Beyoncé never misses a note and her performance combined with amazing sci-fi visuals and brilliant accompanying dancers was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Fans were quick to share their thoughts on Twitter too, with one writing: “Fave part of Beyonce live @ Cardiff was seeing how shook she was when she asked the audience to help her do love on top acapella and everyone served the most perfect vocals, key changes and harmonies in perfect tune.”

Adding: “Welcome 2 Wales b X.”

“That’s special,” a fourth added, while another said: “Cardiff crowd at Beyonce singing ‘Love on Top’ – wow.”

The performer’s next stop on her tour is on Tuesday, May 23, and will be at Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light. Then there will be performances at the Stade De France in Paris, followed by a five-night stint at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

What an incredible moment!
