Mike Tyson Issues Heartbreaking Update On Jamie Foxx’s Condition

Mike Tyson has issued a heartbreaking update on Jamie Foxx’s condition, and has gone so far as to revealed the condition which may have nearly killed him.

It comes after the actor broke his silence on social media earlier this month following his hospitalisation.

Fifty-five-year-old Foxx is best known for his work in movies such as Django Unchained, Dreamgirls and Collateral. He first broke out in Hollywood with his leading role as Ray Charles in the 2004 biopic Ray, for which he won an Academy Award.

In more recent years, the actor has turned his skill set towards the behind the scenes film work. He worked as writer and producer for the recent series Alert, as well as Dad Stop Embarrassing Me.

His daughter Corinne Foxx announced the news of his hospitalisation over on Instagram.

She wrote: “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.

“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Foxx has 2 daughters, with Corinne, who shared the news, being the eldest, born in 1994. She is an actress in her own right, having starred in Dollface and Safety. He also has another daughter who was born in 2009.

Foxx became unwell while filming in Atlanta for the upcoming Netflix film Back in Action with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close.

An insider told CNN in the week after his hospitalisation: “They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened.”

And then, at the beginning of May, Foxx spoke out for the first time on social media.

“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” Foxx wrote.

In addition, he expressed his gratitude to Nick Cannon, who stepped in to host his show “Beat Shazam” while he’s been away.

“Appreciate ya my boy @NickCannon,” he wrote in his stories, adding: “See u all soon.”

Per TMZ, the star is continuing to receive medical treatment, but has now been moved from Atlanta to Chicago, where he is being treated at a top physical medicine and rehabilitation centre.

A source revealed to the outlet that Foxx has been there since late April, and is “recovering well.”

It comes after his eldest daughter Corinne announced that Foxx had been “out of the hospital for weeks” and was “recuperating.”

She also revealed that her father had been playing pickleball, which is possible thanks to the Chicago facility’s adaptive sports and fitness program.

However, the latest update on Foxx may finally give fans the answers that they have been looking for. Mike Tyson opened up about the star’s condition, and even revealed what might have been the cause of Foxx’s condition.

“He’s not feeling well. They said a stroke. I have no idea what happened to him,” Tyson said on the Valuetainment podcast, via the Daily Mail. “Hey, listen, we can’t anticipate our next breath. We don’t know when we are gonna die. … After we leave, this bad stuff can happen.”

He also touched on the long awaited Tyson biopic for which Foxx was supposed to star.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen now. But, you know, it’s a strong possibility. Because, you know, Jamie’s closer to my age, so in order to do him, they were going to do what they did with [the movie] Benjamin Button. They were going to make him look younger.”
