Video Shows Travis Kelce’s Reaction To Kansas Parade Shooting

Travis Kelce was swiftly ushered away from the Kansas City Super Bowl parade by law enforcement shortly after a tragic shooting occurred.

In the footage, the tight end can be observed entering an unmarked police vehicle outside Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri, amidst pedestrians passing by on Wednesday. His mother, Donna Kelce, who accompanied him to the parade, was also inside the vehicle, recognizable by her white hat.

As Kelce hurried to safety, thousands of individuals were also evacuating the area following the gunfire incident, which left at least 22 wounded and one dead.

According to The Post, among the wounded were nine children. Law enforcement arrested three suspects, one of whom was purportedly tackled by a Chiefs fan, as shown in a video circulated on social media. Notably, two of the alleged perpetrators are minors.

Following the shooting, Kelce, 34, expressed his sorrow over the tragic events. “I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today,” he stated via a post on social media platform X.

According to TMZ, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes rented out the Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar for the team to continue their celebratory activities after their victory in Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Police assistance was requested outside the establishment to manage the crowd.

Kelce was captured in photos outside the restaurant, pausing to pose with police officers while flashing a peace sign, as per images obtained by the media outlet. “My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me,” Kelce remarked.

Despite the somber events, the NFL star was later spotted in good spirits as he joined Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and other teammates for a prearranged dinner gathering.
