Upcoming Taylor Swift Shows Could Be Canceled Due To Safety Risk

Taylor Swift arrived in Sydney on Monday ahead of her scheduled performances at Accor Stadium this week, but concerns have arisen among her fans, known as Swifties, due to the extreme weather conditions in the Harbour City.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for heavy rainfall, damaging winds, and large hailstones for much of New South Wales on Friday and Saturday, raising doubts about Swift’s first and second Sydney shows. Accor Stadium’s website states that events will proceed rain or shine unless the safety of patrons and the artist is compromised, leaving room for last-minute adjustments depending on the weather’s severity.

Worried fans have taken to Reddit to discuss the possibility of cancellations or postponements, with one expressing concern about Accor Stadium’s rain policy potentially affecting the shows. Another fan emphasized the risk lightning poses to outdoor concerts and hoped for Swift’s safety above all else.

Despite facing delays on her private jet due to stormy weather upon her arrival from Melbourne on Monday, Swift and her team landed safely in Sydney, where she is slated to perform four sold-out shows from Friday to Monday, with 80,000 attendees expected each night.

Swift is rumored to be staying at Crown’s presidential villa in Barangaroo during her time in Sydney. Additionally, there are speculations that Swift’s NFL star boyfriend, Travis Kelce, might join her in Australia, as he was spotted departing Kansas City for Los Angeles, potentially en route to catch Swift’s private jet to Hawaii and then back to Australia.

Swift’s private jet offers a luxurious travel experience, equipped with amenities like a double bed and fine dining cabin, ensuring a comfortable journey for her and possibly Kelce as they navigate their busy schedules.
