Martha Stewart Reveals Why She Doesn’t Wear Underwear

Martha Stewart has a unique approach to undergarments, or lack thereof.

The lifestyle icon revealed to Page Six that she exclusively wears swimsuits beneath her clothing, justifying it with the possibility of an impromptu swim. Speaking at the Old Bags Luncheon in West Palm Springs, Fla., she expressed her fondness for swimsuits, stating, “Bathing suits are my underwear.” She made it clear that she avoids structured undergarments like tight lace or Skims, despite her appreciation for the latter’s functionality, preferring Aerie bathing suits as her go-to choice.

When pondering if Kim Kardashian, the creator of Skims, might disapprove, Stewart brushed off the concern, confident that Kardashian understands her preference.

Martha Stewart’s affinity for swimsuits is understandable given her recent appearances, including gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue in 2023, making her the magazine’s oldest cover model. Embracing her sensuality, Stewart has shared enticing images on social media, often featuring herself in her pool.

Despite her glamorous image, Stewart remains grounded, with interests ranging from her upcoming 100th book release to her collaborative ventures with Snoop Dogg. Describing Snoop Dogg as more than just a rapper but also an astute businessman, she highlighted their joint endeavors, including projects with Bic lighters, wine, and even Skecher shoes. Their unconventional partnership blossomed with their cooking show “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party,” which aired for two successful seasons on VH1.

Stewart’s admiration for rap extends to Eminem, whom she regards as a musical genius, praising his innovative artistry.

At the recent Old Bags Luncheon, Stewart joined notable figures like Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger and her husband Tommy Hilfiger, as well as Kimberly Guilfoyle, Ramona Singer, Jean Shafiroff, and Ellen Vaughan, celebrating fashion, philanthropy, and camaraderie.
