Love Island’s Georgia Steel quits social media due to ‘vile’ trolling as ‘threats’ continue

Georgia Steel is reportedly taking a break from social media due to the overwhelming trolling she has endured, including receiving vile threats.

Throughout her time on Love Island: All Star series, Georgia found herself entangled in a complex love square with Callum Jones, Toby Aromolaran, and Tom Clare. Despite the challenges, she and Toby decided to pursue their connection, ultimately finishing in fourth place. However, the aftermath of the series brought a barrage of nasty messages, prompting Georgia to step back from social media.

“Georgia felt like she needed to take a bit of an extended social detox,” a source revealed. “She was really quite shocked when she heard about the trolling she received while she was in the villa and wants to keep offline for a bit.” The onslaught of hate has deeply affected her and her loved ones, leading her to take a break despite her happiness with Toby.

Her social media team previously addressed the issue, condemning the “vile threats” directed at her during the show. In a statement shared on her official Instagram account, they emphasized the harm caused by online trolling and urged for more civility.

Despite the negative experiences, recent research has highlighted Georgia’s success beyond the show. She ranks as the top contestant in terms of financial success, with an estimated net worth of £3.2 million and an impressive Instagram following of two million. Georgia’s post-Love Island ventures include appearances on Love Island Games, All Stars, Celebs on the Ranch, Celebs Go Dating, and Ex on the Beach. Additionally, she has collaborated with major fashion brands such as Missy Empire and I Saw It First.

Following Georgia, Jack Fowler comes in second place with an estimated net worth of £2.9 million, boasting a loyal following of one million. He has transitioned into a recognized musician, making appearances for The Ministry of Sound. In third place is Georgia Harrison, with 1.2 million Instagram followers and an estimated net worth of £788,000.
