Gemma Collins ‘Shocked’ Over Louis Walsh’s Jedward Comments as She Jumps in to Publicly Defend Singers

Gemma Collins has weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding Louis Walsh’s remarks about Jedward during their time on Celebrity Big Brother.

The former X Factor judge, who has been appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, labeled the brotherly duo as ‘vile’ while conversing with Coronation Street star Colson Smith. “They were vile… I done five million quid with them, I swear on my mother’s life,” he asserted. “They were vile, they were novelty, they were great for the show.”

Unsurprisingly, Jedward didn’t take these comments lightly and responded vehemently on Twitter, promising that ‘justice will be served’.

Now, Gemma Collins has entered the fray and seems to have taken a definitive stance in support of Jedward, as evidenced by her recent activity on Instagram. Posting on her Instagram Stories, Collins filmed her TV screen showing Walsh’s remarks, criticising him for his statements. “Louis, don’t be slagging off my boys, they’re not vile,” she asserted before revealing John and Edward Grimes seated at her table, watching the TV with her. “They’re beautiful in every single way.”

One of the Jedward twins then directed criticism towards Walsh, expressing disbelief at seeing him on the show and lambasting his treatment of other acts such as Girls Aloud and Boyzone. “You’re a senile man who did nothing for us, who had no ideas, you aren’t even a manager,” he exclaimed.

Collins continued to show her support for Jedward, defending them against Walsh’s allegations and describing them as ‘the nicest, sweetest, talented, well-mannered boys’. She emphasised her shock at Walsh’s comments and clarified that she harboured no personal animosity towards him.

In subsequent videos, the Jedward twins elaborated on their grievances with Walsh, alleging disrespect towards their mother and attempts to ensnare them in unfavorable contracts. They labeled Walsh as a ‘bitter old man’ and highlighted the animosity he allegedly stirred among other artists he had worked with.

Collins encouraged the twins to focus on their meals as she reiterated her support for them, underscoring her disagreement with Walsh’s portrayal of them.
