Kerry Katona didn’t mince words when she took aim at Love Islander Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, labelling her as “two-faced” for her actions on Celebrity Big Brother and criticising her for denigrating OF while allegedly showcasing similar content on social media.

Expressing her frustration in an Instagram video, Katona accused Ekin-Su of swiftly changing her allegiance from Louis Walsh to David Potts as soon as she sensed disapproval from the crowd. Katona, known to have earned millions on OF, didn’t hold back in her criticism, implying that Ekin-Su’s appearance on Celebrity Big Brother has exposed her true character.

In her video, Katona remarked, “How two-faced is Ekin-Su? What a game she is playing! Is anyone else with me?” She lambasted Ekin-Su for supposedly denying having bikini photos on her social media, only to allegedly find evidence to the contrary. Katona then criticised Ekin-Su for disparaging OF while seemingly engaging in similar behaviour herself.

“Be yourself…. own it… Stop being something you’re not,” Katona advised, suggesting that Ekin-Su might as well join OF if she’s “giving it away for free.” She further criticised Ekin-Su’s supposed change in behaviour on Celebrity Big Brother, claiming that the real Ekin-Su has been revealed to viewers.

Backing Katona’s sentiments, former Celebrity Big Brother star Danielle Lloyd echoed similar sentiments, suggesting that Ekin-Su’s actions were influenced by the audience’s reaction to Louis Walsh. Charlotte Dawson, another reality TV personality, also appeared to support Katona’s comments, expressing her agreement and admiration for Katona’s bold stance.

Viewers also took to social media to question Ekin-Su’s remarks, with one expressing discomfort over her apparent disdain for OF creators, arguing that individuals should have the autonomy to choose such platforms for income.

Katona’s criticism extended beyond Ekin-Su’s actions on Celebrity Big Brother, as she expressed her disapproval of Love Island’s influence on young audiences. Reflecting on her daughter Lilly-Sue McFadden’s potential involvement with the show, Katona condemned Love Island as “fake and foggy,” arguing that it perpetuates unrealistic standards and unhealthy ideals among teenagers.

In her impassioned critique, Katona called for greater authenticity in media representation and raised concerns about the impact of filters on social media, emphasising the need to address the negative effects on young viewers’ self-esteem and perceptions.
