Megan Fox’s Engagement Ring Was Designed To Cause Physical Pain If Removed

Megan Fox appears to have confirmed the end of her engagement to Machine Gun Kelly, potentially leaving her with a poignant reminder on her finger.

The actress and rapper began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in 2022. However, in a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, it was suggested that the engagement had been called off last year.

Those who followed their relationship might recall a peculiar detail about Fox’s engagement ring—it was designed to cause discomfort when removed. Machine Gun Kelly had it crafted in a rather unconventional and dark manner.

The engagement was unveiled through a social media video capturing their proposal, with Fox revealing that they engaged in a ‘ritual’ involving drinking each other’s blood. Machine Gun Kelly shared a clip showcasing the ring, featuring a large diamond and emerald, representing their respective birthstones. However, he also disclosed that the ring was intentionally designed to cause pain if removed.

In an interview with Vogue, the rapper explained the concept behind the ring: “The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet. And then it forms an obscure heart. And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So, if she tries to take it off, it hurts.”

Machine Gun Kelly, believing in the notion of ‘love is pain,’ designed the ring alongside Stephen Webster. Despite the contradiction of causing more physical pain if Fox were to remove the ring due to a lack of love, the rapper justified his design choice.

In her social media announcement, Fox wrote: “And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes…and then we drank each other’s blood.”

Addressing her relationship status on the podcast, Fox acknowledged the engagement’s uncertainty, stating, “All those things you said were accurate things that have occurred… I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption… I think, as of now, I don’t have a comment on the status of the relationship, per se.”

She further defended their unconventional ‘ritual,’ comparing it to the intimacy of or*l s*x and questioning societal perceptions of what constitutes disgust.

Despite the ambiguity surrounding their engagement, Fox emphasised a deep connection to Machine Gun Kelly, referring to him as her ‘twin soul,’ suggesting an enduring bond regardless of the relationship’s status.
