Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter Tracklist Shows Album Contains Cover of ‘Most Iconic Country Song In History’

Beyoncé is gearing up to set the stage for her real-life hoedown as Cowboy Carter’s release date draws near.

The Grammy Award-winning artist, aged 42, delighted her 319 million Instagram followers by unveiling the tracklist for her highly anticipated debut country album, slated for release on March 29.

Sharing a vintage country-style graphic on Instagram Wednesday, Beyoncé revealed the album’s title, ‘Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit,’ presented by Kntry Radio Texas.

Among the standout tracks is a cover of Dolly Parton’s 1973 single ‘Jolene,’ a move that the country icon herself had hinted at earlier.

Parton, aged 78, expressed her excitement about Beyoncé’s rendition of the song in an interview with Knox News earlier this month. “Well, I think she has!” said Parton. “I think she’s recorded ‘Jolene,’ and I think it’s probably gonna be on her country album, which I’m very excited about.”

Expressing her admiration for Beyoncé, Parton revealed the mutual respect between the two artists, highlighting their exchange of messages over the years.

Beyoncé had previously teased collaborations with esteemed artists, sparking speculation among fans about a potential track with Taylor Swift. While Swift isn’t featured, another country legend, Willie Nelson, joins the album with the track ‘Smoke Hour.’

In addition to previously released singles like ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ and ’16 Carriages,’ the album features a diverse range of tracks, including ‘American Requiem,’ ‘Blackbird,’ ‘Protector,’ and ‘My Rose.’

Completing the tracklist are songs such as ‘Bodyguard,’ ‘Dolly P,’ ‘Daughter,’ ‘Spaghetti,’ ‘Alligator Tears,’ ‘Smoke Hour II,’ ‘Just for Fun,’ ‘Most Wanted II,’ ‘Levi’s Jeans,’ ‘Flamenco,’ ‘The Linda Martell Show,’ ‘Ya Ya,’ ‘Oh Louisiana,’ ‘Desert Eagle,’ ‘Riverdance,’ ‘Hands to Heaven II,’ ‘Tyrant,’ ‘Sweet Honey Buckin’,’ and ‘Amen.’

Earlier this month, Beyoncé unveiled the album cover alongside the announcement of the Cowboy Carter title and March 29 release date.

Fans can now pre-order Cowboy Carter, eagerly awaiting its official release on March 29.
