Abby Hensel’s spouse finds himself entangled in a paternity dispute initiated by his former wife, just two years after his union with the renowned conjoined twin.
Abby, now 34 and hailing from Minnesota, entered matrimony with Josh Bowling, 33, a nurse and army veteran, as per public records in 2021. Abby, famously part of the conjoined twin duo with her sister Brittany, gained prominence through their TLC series.
The paternity lawsuit, instigated by Josh’s ex-wife, Annica Bowling, surfaced in October 2023, almost two years post his marriage to Abby.
Court documents obtained by DailyMail.com reveal Annica’s legal action against Josh and another individual named Gavin Vatnsdal.
Josh and Annica’s marital journey began in 2010, concluding in separation by 2019, as per court records. Presently, they co-parent their 8-year-old daughter, Isabella.
Following their official divorce on April 23, 2020, Annica welcomed another child later that year, referred to as ‘Isabella’s half-sister’ in legal papers.
Although it remains undisclosed which child’s paternity is under scrutiny, a genetic test report submitted to the court on March 7 remains inaccessible to the public.
Josh’s daughter graced his nuptials with Abby, adorned in a floral bridesmaid attire, bearing a sign proclaiming: ‘Daddy… Here Comes Your Bride.’

Further, they rebutted detractors with another TikTok featuring a photo with Josh, affirming, ‘This is a message to all the haters out there.’
Presently, both Abby and Brittany serve as fifth-grade math educators at an elementary school in New Brighton, Minnesota, their birthplace and upbringing.
Sharing a singular body, their lower halves encompass shared organs, including the intestines, bladder, and reproductive system.
While maintaining privacy regarding their personal lives, the twins expressed aspirations for family life in previous interviews, dismissing rumors and emphasizing their autonomy.
