Love Island star Anton Danyluk’s mum calls out Georgia Harrison over ‘ick’ comment in brutal exchange

Love Island: All Stars contestants Anton Danyluk and Georgia Harrison may not have clinched the ultimate victory in the series, but their bond has emerged as one of the strongest of 2024 post-villa life.

Since departing from the ITV2 villa in February, the duo has captivated audiences with their evolving relationship. Initially, their romance faced skepticism from viewers, particularly after Georgia expressed doubts to her fellow Love Island co-stars about her feelings for Anton, citing experiencing the infamous ‘ick’ phenomenon.

In a candid conversation with Liberty Poole, Kaz Kamwi, and Molly Smith, Georgia confessed, “Anton is such a catch. He’s good-looking, funny, kind – he’s everything I should want.” However, she also admitted to feeling the ‘ick’ towards Anton, sparking backlash from fans of the Scottish bodybuilder.

Social media erupted with criticism, with one user expressing, “Anton deserves more,” while another questioned, “What exactly is wrong with Anton that no one wants him?”

Despite the initial doubts, Georgia and Anton’s relationship progressed positively as the series unfolded. Their romance blossomed, and since the show’s conclusion, they have split their time between Anton’s home in Scotland and various locations in England, frequently sharing glimpses of their life together on social media.

While many fans have moved past Georgia’s initial ‘ick’ remarks, one person who hasn’t forgotten is Anton’s mother, Sherie Ann Danyluk. During their joint podcast, “What’s The Crack?,” Sherie Ann confronted Georgia about her comments, expressing her displeasure.

Georgia attempted to clarify, stating, “I never once spoke badly of Anton,” to which Sherie Ann interjected, “You said he gave you the f***ing ick!”

Despite the tense moment, Georgia explained the Love Island terminology, defending her honesty and stating that she didn’t want to fake her feelings for the sake of advancement in the game.

The exchange sheds light on the complexities of relationships formed within the Love Island bubble and underscores the challenges of navigating public scrutiny post-show.
