Love Island’s Molly Smith rushed to hospital days before first holiday with Tom Clare

Love Island star Molly Smith found herself in a whirlwind of concern when she was suddenly rushed to the hospital due to a mysterious illness, just days before embarking on a luxurious holiday.

The 29-year-old’s absence from social media for nearly five days raised eyebrows, as she was noticeably missing from her usual online presence. Taken to the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Molly’s health scare left many worried. Fortunately, she’s been recuperating with the unwavering support of her boyfriend, Tom Clare.

Since their appearance on the All Stars edition of the popular reality dating show earlier this year, Molly and Tom’s relationship has been flourishing. Molly had previously been in a relationship with Callum Jones, whom she met on a previous series of Love Island. However, after three and a half years together, they went their separate ways last September.

Molly’s health scare occurred just days before she and Tom were set to jet off to Dubai for a much-needed break. According to a source speaking to The Sun, it was indeed a troubling night for Molly, but fortunately, it turned out to be just a scare. Now on the mend, she’s feeling much better, with her upcoming trip providing a timely opportunity to relax and recuperate.

In an update to her fans, Molly expressed her apologies for her absence and revealed her hospital visit: “Sorry for being MIA. I ended up in the hospital in the early hours of Tuesday morning so I’ve been a bit of a write-off. Finally had a little TLC and got my hair done so starting to feel a little more like me again. I will catch up properly with you all soon.”

Despite the recent health setback, Molly appeared in high spirits as she and Tom embarked on their holiday to Dubai. The couple indulged in £15k flights and engaged with fans in a Q&A session while en route. Molly reassured her followers that she’s gradually feeling better and emphasised the necessity of relaxation and some sun.

Their trip also brought forth some relationship milestones, as Tom officially declared Molly as his girlfriend on March 1st. Addressing queries about their living situation, Molly humorously noted that they’re practically living together already, with Tom sheepishly confirming the arrangement. Reflecting on their relationship, Molly expressed contentment, highlighting Tom’s maturity and their mutual happiness.

While fans initially hoped for a reconciliation between Molly and her ex, Callum, during their time on the All Stars show, it became evident that their romantic spark had fizzled out. Instead, they opted to remain friends, with Callum eventually partnering with Jess Gale and securing a second-place finish.
