Elon Musk Confirms He Used Secret X Account Where He Pretended To Be A Child

Elon Musk has acknowledged using two secret alternate accounts on X, shedding light on his online activity during a deposition for a lawsuit involving one of his posts on the platform.

During the deposition, Musk clarified that he had utilized accounts on X beyond his main public one. When questioned about an account that had been identified by users on social media, Musk confirmed its existence.

The account in question, @ermnmusk, operating under the name “Elon Test,” purportedly featured Musk role-playing as a child, possibly his three-year-old son. Posts such as “I will finally turn 3 on May 4th!” and expressions of longing to attend nightclubs were attributed to this account. Despite its limited following of less than 500 users, compared to Musk’s main account boasting over 180 million followers, the account remained active as of Tuesday.

When presented with a screenshot of the account during the deposition, Musk stated, “I don’t use that account,” explaining that it had been briefly utilized as a test account.

Regarding his X usage, Musk mentioned two primary accounts: his main one and a purported burner account listed under the name @babysmoke9000, although its existence is uncertain due to the lack of an account by that name. Musk has been linked to the account @babysmurf9000 in the past, which has shared Tesla and X-related content along with a recent documentary featuring Musk.

The deposition, released on Monday, was part of a lawsuit in which Musk is accused of promoting a conspiracy theory falsely associating 22-year-old Ben Brody with a neo-Nazi group. Brody filed the lawsuit last fall, seeking $1 million in damages, alleging that Musk’s posts on X had harmed his reputation by misidentifying him as involved in a brawl between far-right groups at a Pride event.

Musk did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the deposition or the lawsuit.
