Embarking on a cruise has become the latest trend, but a startling revelation about what lurks beneath these grand vessels might give you pause.

A Greek photographer, Odysseas Froilan, stirred discomfort among viewers by sharing a video of deep-sea GoPro footage captured underneath and alongside a cruise ship.

Froilan uploaded the clip to his YouTube channel in November 2021, and it swiftly went viral, amassing millions of views.

Froilan has remained tight-lipped about the specifics of the footage or the location in the ocean where he submerged his GoPro.

Initially, the footage seemed innocuous as it captured a school of fish, intrigued by the foreign object that had entered their realm. But as darkness descended, viewers were in for a chilling surprise.

Suddenly, sharks emerged into the frame, with one darting towards the camera’s light before swiftly disappearing. Moments later, a massive shark calmly swam into view from the shadows, leaving viewers unsettled.

Commenting on the abrupt shift from fascination to terror, one YouTube user remarked, “The way I went from kicking my feet in the air at the cute fishies… to blankly staring, terrified… further confirming my intense fear of the ocean.”
