Amber Heard celebrated her 38th birthday this Tuesday, marking a significant milestone as she officially changed her name and relocated to a new continent.

However, this special occasion also coincides with a contentious anniversary involving Heard. Eight years ago, in April 2016, her ex-husband Johnny Depp, 60, accused her of orchestrating a repugnant prank against him.

During their legal battles, Depp testified in 2022 that his maid had informed him of a distressing discovery: a piece of feces left in his bed at his apartment in downtown Los Angeles. Heard vehemently denied the allegations.

Depp believed that Heard was behind the prank, fueled by her displeasure when he left her birthday party early. He suspected she sought revenge after departing for the Coachella Music Festival.

In court testimony, Heard denied any involvement in the incident and suggested that one of their pet dogs may have been responsible for the act.

Depp refuted this claim, stating that the size of the feces indicated it couldn’t have come from a dog. He recalled finding humor in the situation initially but expressed disbelief and discomfort later on.

During the trial, Depp’s chauffeur and security staffer, Starling Jenkins III, testified that Heard described the incident as a “horrible practical joke gone wrong.” However, Heard denied having such a conversation with Jenkins.

Heard explained that she was packing for the festival at the time and that one of the dogs had a history of bowel control issues and frequently jumped onto the bed.

When asked if the incident was intended as a prank on Depp, Heard adamantly denied any such intention, emphasizing the serious circumstances surrounding her life at the time.

“Our marriage was over… his mom had just passed,” Heard recounted. “I couldn’t believe he wanted to talk about feces.” She emphasized that she was in a serious and distressing situation and found the notion of a prank void of any humor.
