Kim Kardashian Responds To Taylor Swift Diss Track And She’s Not Happy

Kim Kardashian is urging Taylor Swift to move forward from their longstanding feud, especially after the singer dropped what seems to be a diss track aimed at the Skims founder on her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

According to an insider speaking to People, Kardashian, 43, is ready to put the drama behind her and believes it’s high time for the 14-time Grammy winner to let go of their conflict. “She doesn’t understand why [Swift] keeps dwelling on it,” the source revealed.

“It’s been years,” they added.

Swift surprised her fans by releasing two albums, one of which contained a song seemingly addressing her strained relationship with the reality TV star. In “thanK you aIMee,” Swift sings about overcoming adversity caused by a bully, with lyrics like, “All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel.”

Fans quickly pointed out that the capitalized letters in the song’s title spell out Kardashian’s first name.

Representatives for Kardashian did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The feud between the two ignited in 2016 when Kanye West, Kardashian’s husband at the time, referenced Swift in his song “Famous,” sparking controversy with the lyrics, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”

Swift objected to being called a “bitch,” leading Kardashian to release a doctored phone call between Swift and West. The recording suggested that Swift had approved the lyrics beforehand, although Swift claimed West never mentioned the controversial line during their conversation.

The public backlash against Swift was severe, leading her to retreat from the spotlight for a year before returning with her album “Reputation.”

The full, unedited conversation was leaked online in 2020, vindicating Swift and showing that West never informed her about the derogatory term.

Reflecting on the incident in a Time interview, Swift described it as psychologically damaging and likened it to a “career death.”

Swift referred to West and Kardashian as “trash” in the interview, underscoring the depth of her hurt.

Despite Kardashian’s desire to move on from the feud, she appeared to allude to it by sharing a photo on Tuesday with Swift’s former friend Karlie Kloss. The Instagram Story post, featuring a selfie with Kloss, was part of Kardashian’s birthday wishes to her friend Derek Blasberg.

The move puzzled many Swift fans, as Kardashian and Kloss were never known to be close friends. Meanwhile, Swift’s friendship with Kloss ended in 2017 for reasons that were never confirmed.
