Hugh Jackman Fans Spot Sad Detail In Met Gala Photo

Fans have noticed a poignant detail in a photo of Hugh Jackman from the Met Gala, reportedly taken in his New York City ‘bachelor pad’. The Wolverine actor shared an image of himself dressed to the nines for the prestigious event.

Joining a host of other A-list stars and celebrities for ‘the biggest night in fashion’ on Monday, Jackman sported a black and white tuxedo with a bowtie and polished shoes. Notably, this marked his first solo appearance at the Met Gala since 2004, having attended with his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, on six previous occasions.

However, after announcing their separation in September 2023, Jackman and Furness walked the red carpet separately this year. The couple, who had been together for nearly 30 years, cited a desire for ‘individual growth’ as the reason for their split. They share two children.

As Jackman posed for the camera, eagle-eyed fans spotted belongings stacked on the floor behind him—coffee table books, random trinkets, an exercise mat, and a photograph. Some comments teased Jackman about the state of his living space, with one remarking, “Don’t look now but someone stole your coffee table,” while another quipped, “There’s these places that sell side tables and wall units. I think it could really help you with lifting the vibe of the room. Oh, and nice suit!”

Despite the light-hearted jests, others expressed sadness over Jackman’s split from Furness. The sentimental value of Jackman’s attire added another layer of emotion to the occasion; he revealed that the suit he wore was the same one from his first Met Gala in 2004, where he attended with his then-wife. Posting a selfie en route to the event, Jackman wrote, “My original Tom Ford tuxedo. Refitted and repaired.”

Fans commented on his outfit photo, reminiscing about his previous iconic attire. One fan noted, “Nice suit, almost as good as your yellow and blue one.”
