Actress Bridget Moynahan took to Instagram on Monday to share a cryptic quote following remarks made about her past relationship with ex Tom Brady in a new Netflix comedy special.

In the “Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady,” aired on Sunday, the NFL star faced jokes about their breakup in 2006, when Moynahan was pregnant with their son, Jack.

Moynahan’s Instagram post featured a quote that read, “Loyal people take s–t more personal because they never would’ve did that s–t to you,” with her adding “So true” in the caption. This message surfaced shortly after comedian Nikki Glaser made light of Moynahan’s split from Brady during the special.

“To be fair, he didn’t know. He just thought she was getting fat,” Glaser quipped.

Moynahan, 53, and Brady, 46, were first romantically linked in February 2004 and confirmed their breakup in December 2006. Shortly after, it was revealed that Moynahan was three months pregnant with Brady’s child, although he had already moved on and was dating Gisele Bündchen.

Their son, Jack, was born in August 2007. Brady married Bündchen in February 2009, and the three have since been co-parenting Jack, along with Brady and Bündchen’s children, Benjamin and Vivian.

Moynahan later married businessman Andrew Frankel in 2015.

Both Moynahan and Bündchen have spoken openly about the situation in various interviews. Moynahan described the experience as “traumatic” but emphasised the joy she found in motherhood. Meanwhile, Bündchen discussed her perspective in her 2018 memoir, highlighting the growth she experienced during that challenging period.

Despite their past, Bündchen has maintained a close relationship with Jack, referring to him as her “bonus child,” even after her divorce from Brady in October 2022.
