Hilary Duff is celebrating a new chapter of joy in her life. On May 7, Duff joyfully announced the arrival of her fourth child, sharing tender moments from the home birth alongside unveiling her daughter’s unique name.
Introducing Townes Meadow Bair, the newest addition to Duff and husband Matthew Koma’s family. Revealing the little one’s name on Instagram, Duff explained that Bair is Koma’s surname, while the origins behind Townes and Meadow remain a mystery for now.
Duff didn’t hold back in expressing her delight over her baby girl’s arrival, disclosing Townes’ birth date as May 2, five days before the public announcement. The heartwarming images captured moments of Duff embracing Townes for the first time in an inflatable birthing pool, showcasing the intimate nature of the home birth.
In her heartfelt note, Duff couldn’t resist adoring her daughter’s adorable cheeks, writing, “Now we know why she made us wait so long…She was perfecting those Cheeks!” She continued, expressing her overwhelming joy and gratitude for the magical moments of bonding with her newborn.
Townes joins a loving family that includes big brother Luca Cruz (12) and sisters Banks Violet (5) and Mae James (3). Luca is Duff’s son from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie, while Banks was welcomed with Koma in 2018, followed by Mae in 2021 after Duff and Koma tied the knot in 2019.
Before Townes’ arrival, Duff expressed her desire for “one more” child in a 2023 interview with E! Now, the Duff-Bair household is complete, radiating happiness as a family of six.
