Nikki Glaser shared that the incident where Kim Kardashian was booed at Tom Brady’s roast was started by a comedian as a prank and was unrelated to the long-standing feud with Taylor Swift.
Glaser revealed in the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast that after the Netflix special on May 5, she encountered a comedian known for causing trouble.
“Apparently, he started the boo as just, like, a joke. He just had too many drinks or something, and he’s not affiliated with Swifties or anything [and] just felt like saying a boo into the air, and apparently everyone was so riled up,” she explained.
She noted that the event, “The Roast of Tom Brady,” primarily attracted sports fans who typically wouldn’t be invested in Kardashian-related drama.
Glaser emphasised, “It just kinda caught wind, but it wasn’t Swiftie-meditated. I do have that on good information that it was not based on that. Because I was like, this doesn’t feel like a huge Swiftie crowd, but it didn’t feel like that was the vibe in the room.”
Glaser, who is a fan of Swift herself, suggested that the booing might have been a spontaneous act from sports fans. “The guy started it as a joke, and it caught on too much, but I was so glad to learn it was not Swiftie-meditated,” she remarked.
Addressing the criticisms often directed at Kardashian and her family, Glaser defended their accomplishments. “I don’t want to hear anymore that they’re not talented. They clearly are! They’ve achieved something consistently for 20 years now. They’re talented! It just doesn’t look like the talent you define,” she asserted.
This clarification comes after many speculated that Swift’s supporters had instigated the booing due to the stars’ notorious rivalry, highlighted again by Swift’s recent track “thanK you aIMee.”
During the roast, Kardashian had to momentarily stop her speech because of the booing, which was later edited out by Netflix. “All right, all right, all right,” Kardashian responded, maintaining her composure during the event. While Kardashian has not elaborated on the incident, she has been seen publicly enjoying herself since then.
