Jennifer Lopez is keeping mum about her current relationship status with Ben Affleck.
During a panel in Mexico City for her upcoming film “Atlas” on Wednesday, the “On the Floor” singer dismissed a reporter’s question about the divorce rumors. “You know better than that,” she said with a brief smile, according to a video shared on Instagram by El Gordo y la Flaca. Lopez has been promoting her upcoming Netflix film amid growing speculation that she and Affleck are heading for a breakup.
On Tuesday, Lopez attended the movie’s second premiere in Mexico alone, while Affleck was seen later that night at the popular restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California.
Earlier this week, a source informed Page Six that the “Gone Girl” actor, 51, has “come to his senses” and recognises that his marriage to the “Jenny from the Block” singer, 54, is over.
“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” an insider told us Monday. “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”
Breakup rumours gained traction last week after Page Six published photos of Affleck leaving a home in the Brentwood neighbourhood of Los Angeles, where he is reportedly staying separately from Lopez.
Amid these rumours, the couple was photographed together for the first time in over a month after attending a play featuring Affleck’s 15-year-old, Seraphina, on Friday.
However, speculation continued as Page Six learned that the “Good Will Hunting” star has been house-hunting in Los Angeles.
He was also spotted without his wedding ring on Saturday.
Despite the reports, Affleck and Lopez presented a united front by attending a movie event at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday.
Affleck was also seen receiving a call from “Jennifer Affleck” while driving, even though Lopez was sitting beside him in the passenger seat.
The couple, who were previously engaged before breaking up, tied the knot in July 2022.
