While some praise Jaafar Jackson’s performance, others question the film’s accuracy
The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic is already sparking strong reactions.
And they are coming from his own family.
While some members have fully backed the project, others have made it clear they have concerns about how the story is being told.
There is support.
Prince Jackson, who worked on the film as a producer, has praised his cousin Jaafar Jackson for taking on the role, calling his performance special for the family.

Several others echoed that.
La Toya and Marlon Jackson both spoke highly of Jaafar’s portrayal, saying he captured Michael’s presence and did justice to the role.
Jermaine Jackson also shared his pride, highlighting the effort his son put into stepping into such an iconic position.
But not everyone feels the same.
Paris Jackson has been more critical.
She clarified she had no real involvement in the film, despite early claims, and said she stepped away after raising concerns about parts of the script.
According to her, some elements did not feel accurate, and she has been open about preferring honesty over a polished version of events.
Other family members have taken a step back.
Janet Jackson chose not to be involved in the film, while Bigi Jackson has remained largely private, aside from attending a premiere.
At the same time, some relatives have pushed back against outside criticism.
Taj and TJ Jackson have both defended the project, encouraging audiences to see the film for themselves and form their own opinions.
Which is where things stand.
A film supported by parts of the family, questioned by others, and already generating conversation before release.
And once it lands, that conversation is only going to get louder.
