Snoop Dogg’s professional blunt roller is Ranagade Perrana, an artist and cannabis entrepreneur who secured the unusual position by winning a rolling contest in 2016. It is a real job, although the internet has proved rather less reliable when calculating exactly how much work it involves.
Perrana’s role resurfaced in October 2026 as though it were a fresh revelation. Much of the material, however, came from a Dazed interview published in November 2022. Her account remains interesting. It just does not require four years of artificial freshness.
How did Ranagade Perrana get the job?
Perrana said she competed against Snoop Dogg’s sound engineer and a Venezuelan cigar roller in a 2016 roll-off. She won and became part of the rapper’s professional operation.
Snoop confirmed on The Howard Stern Show in 2019 that he employed a full-time roller and regarded it as a legitimate occupation. Celebrity staffing has apparently advanced well beyond assistants, drivers and people tasked with locating the correct bottled water.
According to Perrana, the work requires advance planning, supplies, deadlines and clean preparation away from clients. She previously described the process as highly sanitized, with finished products prepared and delivered rather than casually assembled beside whoever happens to be smoking.
Her ambitions also extend far beyond rolling. Perrana told Dazed she makes music, paints, designs clothing, directs music videos, creates online content, curates photo shoots and works as a motivational speaker. She described herself as an “artist through and through.”
Which celebrities have used her services?
Dazed identified Rihanna and Madonna among Perrana’s clients. Promotional biographies and social media material have also associated her services with Drake, Woody Harrelson, Kid Cudi, Chris Brown and Elon Musk, although those additional names were not independently confirmed in the reporting reviewed.
Perrana expanded the service through Blunt Bar, which provides rolling for private gatherings and cannabis-focused events. In a March 2026 appearance on Eating While Broke, she was still promoting celebrity rolling services, Blunt Bar events and a saliva-free product described as “cigar glue.”
She has claimed that some gatherings grew from small groups of Hollywood Hills guests to crowds of roughly 10,000, with one event eventually raided. That account comes from Perrana herself rather than an independently documented attendance record.
The broader business model is clear regardless: she turned a highly specialized service role into an events and accessories brand. It is less a person sitting beside Snoop with rolling papers and more a small cannabis hospitality operation, complete with preparation standards and logistics.
Did she really roll 450,000 joints for Snoop?
The most dramatic statistic attached to Perrana is also the least dependable. Reports claimed she rolled about 450,000 blunts for Snoop and prepared between 75 and 150 joints for him each day, using roughly half a pound of cannabis.
Perrana later told TMZ that the 450,000 estimate covered work for all her clients, not Snoop alone. Dazed made the same distinction, explicitly stating that the nearly half-million joints were not all consumed by the rapper.
Snoop rejected the 150-a-day claim himself in a 2022 Instagram video. Showing approximately nine or 10 remnants, he asked: “What am I, a fucking machine?” It was a concise correction, though not concise enough to stop the larger number travelling through celebrity media for several more years.
The disputed figures illustrate how a rough business estimate can become a supposed medical-level account of one celebrity’s daily consumption. Perrana has plainly rolled a substantial amount of cannabis. The available reporting does not establish that Snoop personally smokes 75 to 150 joints every day.
Why did Perrana begin using cannabis?
Perrana told Dazed that she began using cannabis while coping with post-traumatic stress linked to growing up in conflict-affected Iran. After moving to the United States, she said it helped her manage the emotional and mental pressures she experienced as a teenager and allowed her to stay focused.
She traced her ambition to master rolling to a Tupac Shakur lyric: “Roll a perfect blunt and let me spark it for you.” What began as a personal goal eventually became paid work, then a wider commercial venture.
California allows adults aged 21 and over to possess up to 28.5 grams of cannabis. Public consumption remains prohibited, so the fact that recreational use is legal does not automatically settle the rules around large quantities, delivery or event-based smoking. Those details are less entertaining than celebrity estimates, which may explain why they tend to disappear from the retelling.
What happened when Snoop tried DMT?
Snoop’s cannabis reputation does not mean he welcomes every psychoactive substance. During episode 40 of the Full Send Podcast in 2022, he described trying DMT once and feeling as though he had died and was observing his own body.
“They gave me some new shit called DMT,” he said. “I hit it one time. That shit was like I fucking died and was dead, then came back and looked at myself dead.” He said the experience lasted about 25 seconds and convinced him not to try it again.
The substance was DMT, not “DMY,” as one later report mistakenly called it. The anecdote was recirculated in August 2026, but it was not a new confession. Like Perrana’s 2022 interview and the inflated joint count, it was older material returning with a freshly applied date.
