Emily Ratajkowski has faced backlash for one of her recent selections of bikini pictures, as fans called out her ‘unhygenic’ snaps.
Now, Ratajkowski is a legend of the internet – ever since she appeared in the music video for Robin Thicke’s controversial track ‘Blurred Lines’, the model has been a mainstay of internet culture.
The London native then went on to completely dominate the modelling industry, and even branched out into acting, having starred in movies such as Entourage, I Feel Pretty and We Are Your Friends. She even starred in the Oscar-nominated flick Gone Girl, playing the role of Ben Affleck’s mistress.
Following on from her rise to fame, Ratajkowski released a book titled My Body, where she reflected on her experience as a desirable model, as well as her toxic experience on the set of the ‘Blurred Lines’ music video.
In the years following the incident, she defended the controversial video, saying it was “actually celebrating women and their bodies.”
In her book, however the star opened up about the assault she faced at the hands of Thicke while on set.
“Suddenly, out of nowhere, I felt the coolness and foreignness of a stranger’s hands cupping my bare breasts from behind,” she wrote, via The Guardian.
“I instinctively moved away, looking back at Robin Thicke. He smiled a goofy grin and stumbled backward, his eyes concealed behind his sunglasses. My head turned to the darkness beyond the set.”
She went on to describe how she was “desperate to minimise” the incident, but added that it was the “first time that day” that she had felt “n*ked.”
Following on from the publication of her essays, Emrata has been hailed as one of the best feminist celebs out there.
However, in one recent selection of bikini snaps, she has faced backlash from fans as they branded her ‘unhygienic’.
The star posed in a teeny multicoloured thong bikini, bearing all for her fans to see. However, her snaps were taken in what appears to be her kitchen, leading to some people take issue with the saucy snaps.
One person wrote: “But in the kitchen??”
A second exclaimed: “Butt in the kitchen!”
However, a third defended the star, writing: “I live on the beach and I cook in bikini. So whats your problem Karen?”
