Meghan Markle Returns To Social Media After Four Years With Mysterious Post

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has re-emerged on social media with a fresh venture, amidst ongoing controversy surrounding Catherine, Princess of Wales.

Meghan has tantalised her audience with the launch of her new brand, American Riviera Orchard, hinting at a shift towards lifestyle content through a new Instagram page.

This marks Meghan’s initial social media post since 2020, sparking curiosity among followers eager to learn more about her latest endeavour.

The Instagram debut of American Riviera Orchard leaves much to the imagination. Both the Instagram page and the linked website offer few insights, though a brief clip on the Instagram story provides some clues. The snippet showcases a series of scenes captured with a vintage camera filter, including shots of white flowers, Meghan cooking in a kitchen, and a woman, presumably Meghan, in an elegant gown in a courtyard.

Notably, the brand’s name on both platforms is accompanied by the term “Montecito,” a nod to the upscale community in Santa Barbara where Meghan and Harry currently reside with their two children.

For those seeking more information, a dive into the US trademark office uncovers additional details. The brand aims to offer cookbooks, kitchenware (such as silverware and kitchen linens), and various jams and fruit preserves. The trademark application was filed under a company named Mama Knows Best, registered in January in Delaware.

This Instagram launch also signifies Meghan’s return to social media after a hiatus since 2020. Previously, Meghan and Harry established their own social media presence and website in 2019, branding themselves as Sussex Royal. However, the Sussex Royal Instagram account was short-lived, as the couple stepped down from their royal duties in 2020. Their @sussexroyal Instagram account remains visible but inactive since March 31, 2020.

Meghan had closed her personal social media accounts four months before her wedding to Harry in May 2018. Before her royal life, Meghan operated a lifestyle and food blog called The Tig, making her latest venture a nostalgic return to her roots.

In February, the couple unveiled their website, sussex.com. During a panel at South by Southwest (SXSW) last week, Meghan revealed her experiences with online bullying during her pregnancies, emphasizing the cruelty behind such behavior.

The launch of American Riviera Orchard coincides with heightened scrutiny over Catherine, Princess of Wales. Kensington Palace released a Mother’s Day image featuring the Princess with her three children, marking her first official appearance since undergoing serious abdominal surgery earlier in the year. However, allegations of photo manipulation led to its removal by major news agencies. Despite a rare apology from the princess, speculations regarding the personal lives of William and Kate persist, dominating discussions on platforms like TikTok and late-night talk shows.
