Mount Etna Blows Mysterious Smoke Ring Into The Sky

Mount Etna showcases a mesmerizing spectacle as it blows ‘smoke rings’ into the sky, captured in a rare phenomenon on Saturday, April 6th.

Near-perfect circles of gas emerged from Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe, providing a captivating display that astounded onlookers. This unusual occurrence, known as volcanic vortex rings, has been observed emanating from the majestic volcano since Wednesday.

According to scientists, Mount Etna is renowned for experiencing this rare phenomenon more frequently than any other volcano on the planet. The phenomenon is attributed to the continuous release of vapors and gases from the volcano, resulting in the formation of these distinctive rings.

These remarkable rings were seen emanating from a new crater that appeared on Etna’s summit on Tuesday, adding to the awe-inspiring spectacle.

Despite the dramatic display, there were no reports of disruptions at Catania airport, situated near the volcano, ensuring that the phenomenon was observed without any adverse consequences.
