Matt Healy’s Family Speak Out After Taylor Swift Takes Aim At Him In New Lyric

Following the release of Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” the family of Matty Healy has spoken out amid speculation about the album’s content.

Swift’s double album, released on April 19, garnered immediate attention from fans dissecting the 16 tracks for clues about her past relationships. While some focused on Swift’s apparent references to Kim Kardashian, others noted Joe Alwyn’s decision to disable Instagram comments post-release.

Eagle-eared fans particularly highlighted The 1975 frontman Matty Healy as a possible subject in multiple tracks, including ‘Guilty as a Sin?’, ‘The Black Dog,’ ‘Fresh Out the Slammer,’ and ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’ Speculation ranged from a song resembling The 1975’s style to mentions of Healy’s alleged typewriter.

One fan remarked, “Obsessed with the fact that swifties were aiming the gun at joe alwyn but right when they pulled the trigger taylor pushed matty healy in front of the bullet.”

In response to the buzz, Healy’s aunt, Debbie Dedes, sister to TV presenter and Healy’s mother Denise Welch, addressed the situation. Dedes told the Mail Online, “She writes about all her relationships, doesn’t she? I don’t think it will come as a shock to him at all. He’s very happy in his new relationship, so I’m sure he will be focusing on that.”

She emphasised that as his family, they have more insight into the situation than what’s been reported in the press. Dedes later reiterated to the Sun that she doesn’t believe anything ‘surprises him anymore,’ highlighting that Healy and Swift ‘know what went on’ and that his current relationship is his priority.

Indeed, like Swift, who appears content in her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, Healy is reportedly dating model and musician Gabbriette Bechtel, known simply as Gabbriette.
